I have been teaching Year 10 and 11 Physics for many years, specialising in international schools, mostly in the Middle East. I understand that aspirational parents want the best for their children, to get the best grades to move on.

When I started teaching Biology it pushed my out of my comfort zone. This taught me a lot, and improved my teaching. Now I just love it in its own right. I learned a lot as an Examiner in Biology, which informs my teaching.

My name is Lindsay Gilmour. In the Middle East students call me Miss Lindsay, and in the UK they call me Miss Gilmour. You can choose. But do call me. Don't let your child suffer their science problems alone, because I CAN help.

Before, during and after lockdown I was the Head of the Physics department in a large and prestigious international school in the Middle East. I literally wrote the book on teaching Physics and Biology remotely.

As if that wasn't  enough, I have worked for two of the biggest exam boards for nearly ten years. Every year I mark hundreds of exam scripts sumitted by candidates from all over the world. I really do know what the Examiner is looking for, because I am one.

Yes. Many students do hate my subject, I really don't mind at all! I might not make you love Physics, but I can help you get a good enough grade to avoid resits, and move on with the rest of your life. Saying goodbye to Physics GCSE and hello to Medicine or Engineering sounds pretty good, doesn't it?
